``If you look after your staff, they`ll look after your customers it`s that simple``
   Richard Branson

Responsible employers realise that their employees are their most important asset. If staff have emotional or psychological problems this can impact negatively on their performance. Therefore, it is in all organisations’ interests to ensure that they provide effective psychological support for their staff to return to optimal functioning as soon as possible and in a cost effective manner. The Health and Safety at Work Act, 1974 puts a duty of care on employers for mental as well as physical health. There is also a common law duty of care to look after your employees, which includes stress at work. For a small investment in counselling staff productivity can be maintained and optimised. The benefits of providing counselling for your staff include: Increased productivity Lower levels of sickness and absenteeism Improved staff morale Increased levels of job commitment and motivation Raised levels of job satisfaction Preventing problems reaching crisis stage. More effective communication in both professional and personal lives Reduction in stress related illnesses Less risk of disciplinary action Effective management of changing patterns of work Avoidance of expensive compensation claims.

I am a fully trained Counsellor and Psychotherapist and on the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) Accredited register. I hold membership of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and am bound by these organisations codes of ethics. I also attend regular clinical supervision and hold professional indemnity insurance. I specialise in many approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) which is a very effective method for rapidly helping people overcome such issues as anxiety, depression, stress, phobias, addictions and excessive anger. I understand the needs of staff working in a pressurised environment. As I am solely responsible for the counselling service there is no bureaucratic structure, which cuts out many of the high costs often associated with national counselling schemes. The result is a local, flexible service which meets the needs of businesses and organisations – at the right price.

Can I simply opt in and out of this service?
Yes, I have a simple, fixed charge per session. I do not ask you to sign an annual contract – you can simply call or email me and I will immediately arrange counselling for your staff.

Is counselling confidential?
Yes, in line with ethical requirements matters discussed in counselling will not be shared with an employer, so that employees feel able to talk freely.

Where will the counselling take place?
This is conducted at my premises in Childwall with close transport links & free private driveway and can be done in Person via Skype or Telephone

How quickly can an initial consultation be made?
The initial consultation can usually be booked within a week.

How much does Corporate Counselling for individuals cost?
Contact me for details

How many sessions are required?
Usually eight sessions are sufficient to resolve or significantly impact on many problems. This ensures that you know in advance the maximum cost of treatment. If a member of your staff requires more than eight sessions they are welcome to continue with counselling by paying for it themselves.
